The AGSC presents Composer to Composer, a series of interviews featuring some of Australia’s most talented and award-winning screen composers, in conversation with their peers.

In this episode, Luna Pan asks Helena Czajka about her classical training and orchestration work in Tokyo, as well as her passion for sound design and electronic textures. Featuring footage and music excerpts from BLIND AMBITION, winner of the Audience Award for Best Feature Documentary at Tribeca Film Festival in 2021 and UNSEEN SKIES, Helena’s score manipulating NASA recorded sounds from space is receiving attention for its distinctive, experimental sound. Among her many achievements, Helena and the Bluey music team’s ‘BLUEY: THE ALBUM’ ranked #3 on the US iTunes charts in 2021, and made history as the first ever children’s album to top the Australian ARIA charts.

Luna Pan is an award-winning screen composer from Sydney, who has created soundtracks for film and TV shows including The Block, Bondi Rescue, Wife Swap, Bluey and The Mole. Luna was awarded the 2019 APRA AMCOS Women in Music award (TV Composition) and also works in games and web production.
