One on One Industry Professional Profiles

One on One

The One-on-One sessions are designed to provide newer composers with access to a variety of industry professionals who can provide advice, guidance or maybe even a job! You will have 10 minutes to pitch, chat and get to know the professionals you choose. Places are strictly limited – a preference form will be sent to conference delegates on Friday 28 November at 10am AEDT. Please note that allocations will be completed on a first come first serve basis.

Please note that meetings will take place concurrently with other sessions. This means that you may miss 10-15 minutes of a conference session if you are assigned to an industry professional.

Adam Gock

Co-Founder, The DA’s Office

Hard rock shredder Adam Gock is one half of The D.A’s Office, alongside electro-pop producer Dinesh Wicks. This award-winning music production and composition house has composed music for close to 20 years and more than 300 TV series – including MasterChef, Lego Masters, and Love on the Spectrum.

Andy Wilson

Head of Artists & Repertoire at Melodie

Melodie’s Head of Artists & Repertoire, Andy Wilson, has been composing and recording music since Prince was listening to doves cry. From early days with a Tascam 4-track and a flanger pedal, to running a multi-room studio in Sydney, Andy has always been driven by emotion, storytelling, and the pursuit of musical gems.

A multiple international award winner across composition and sound design, and the writer/producer behind both a number-one hit and a platinum record, Andy’s work has travelled the world, helping shape the identity of bands, brands and screen content for decades.

At Melodie, he works with a roster of more than 150 composers, guiding and curating their music, that producers, broadcasters, and content creators rely on every day – work that supports narrative, amplifies emotion, and connects audiences to the emotional heartbeat of their stories.

Antony Partos

Screen Composer

Antony Partos is one of Australia’s most awarded film composers. His passion lies in creating scores that blend both acoustic and electronic elements with an eclectic mix of exotic instruments.

Antony’s latest project Christy (starring Sydney Sweeney) premiered at TIFF, directed by David Michôd, is set for an upcoming theatrical release.

His other feature film credits include Poker Face (starring Russell Crowe), Gold (starring Zac Efron), Rams (starring Sam Neill), I Am Mother (starring Hillary Swank), Jasper Jones (starring Toni Collette), 99 Homes (starring Andrew Garfield), Animal Kingdom (starring Ben Mendelsohn and Jacki Weaver) and The Rover (starring Guy Pearce).

Antony’s scores for TV Drama include The Artful Dodger, Mystery Road, Last King of the Cross, Total Control, The End, Operation Buffalo, Rake, The Slap and Wake In Fright.

Other projects include Academy Award® nominated feature Tanna, (BAFTA Nominated Feature Documentary) Sherpa, (AGSC Winner Best Music for a Documentary & Best Soundtrack Album, AACTA Winner Best Music for a Documentary), Lucas Films’ Documentary The Director and the Jedi which premiered at SXSW, and hit HBO feature film Fahrenheit 451 which premiered at Cannes Film Festival.

Antony is a co-founder and director of Sonar Music based in Sydney, Australia and is a passionate supporter of creating and promoting Australian content.

Cameron Patrick

Screen Composer, Orchestrator, Discipline Lead, Music (AFTRS)

Cameron Patrick is an Annie Award nominee and AGSC Screen Music Award winner whose screen experience spans 30 years. He is an accomplished composer and orchestrator of music for film and television, with credits that include Spider-man: Homecoming (2017), Zootopia (2016), Jurassic World (2015) and Inside Out (2015) amongst many, many others. Cameron is also an accomplished violinist and violist, with an extensive list of credits in the film, television, theatre and recording industries.

Cameron is a graduate of the University of Southern California’s film scoring program and was an instructor in the UCLA Extension’s Film Scoring program from 2015 to 2017. He has been involved with the Queensland Music Festival for the past six years in partnership with the Griffith Film School and conducted and presented education concerts with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra in 2019. Cameron is a professional member of the Australian Guild of Screen Composers, the Society of Composers and Lyricists (US), the American Federation of Musicians (US) and Broadcast Music Inc. (US).

Cornel Wilczek

Screen Composer

Cornel Wilczek is a three-time AACTA Award–winning screen composer and music producer based in Melbourne, Australia. With a catalogue spanning 16 feature films and 17 television series, his work is known for its emotional precision, sonic detail, and inventive blend of orchestral and electronic textures.

His recent film credits include A24’s breakout horror hits Talk To Me and Bring Her Back, Michael Shanks’ upcoming Together (Neon), Destry Spielberg’s debut feature Please Don’t Feed The Children, Netflix’s Bikram: Yogi, Guru, Predator, and Amazon’s Burning.

On television, Cornel has scored Netflix’s Apple Cider Vinegar and The Survivors, global hit Clickbait, the AACTA-winning newsroom drama The Newsreader (ABC), the acclaimed series Stateless and Glitch, and the award-winning Crazy Fun Park.

He is also the founder of Electric Dreams Studio, a creative hub for screen music and production. His scores are driven by curiosity, experimentation, and a deep love of storytelling.

Elaine Beckett

General Manager, Trackdown Studios

Elaine is Trackdown’s General Manager and recognised Post Production Supervisor specialising in Audio Post and Music.

As one of Australia’s only Score Coordinators, her impressive list of credits includes “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes”, “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga”, Marvel’s “Echo” and “What If…?”, “World of Warcraft: Dragonflight”, “Three Thousand Years of Longing”, “Mortal Kombat”, “Peter Rabbit”, “LEGO Ninjago”, “The LEGO Batman Movie”, “Gods of Egypt”, “The LEGO Movie”, “The Water Diviner”, “Happy Feet 2”, “The Railway Man” and “Tomorrow When The War Began”.

She has worked as a Post Production Supervisor on projects such as “Sally Bollywood” Seasons 1 and 2, “Lah Lah’s Adventures” and “Forbidden Ground”, and as Music Supervisor on projects such as “C.A.U.G.H.T”, “Better Watch Out”, “Dive Club”, and “One Perfect Match”.

Recently, Elaine has taken on some production roles as well. She was Post Production Accountant on Dev Patel’s “Monkey Man”, Producer for “Tales of Aluna”, an animated kids series based on a concept from the famous singer/song-writer Donovan, and the short film “For The Girl In The Coffee Shop”. Elaine was the Executive Producer for the animated television series “Nate Is Late” and for the feature film “Back of the Net”.

Jemma Burns

Music Supervisor

Company: Pulse Points

Having music supervised over 100 productions, Jemma regularly works with internationally renowned companies such as Plan B Entertainment (Bong Joon Ho’s Okja, multiple David Michod films); See-Saw Films (Apple Cider Vinegar, Lion,Top of the Lake: China Girl), Ari Aster’s Squarepeg (Beau is Afraid).

She loves working closely with directors to craft their soundtracks, finding the most compelling way to tell their story through the use of score, licensed music or commissioned songs. With a great ear for emotional tonality of music, she also loves pairing the right composer with the right director, knowing how pivotal the dynamic of that relationship is.

She is thrilled to be working on Liz Doran’s adaptation of Australian classic ‘My Brilliant Career’, Kristoffer Borgli’s new film ‘The Drama’ (A24) and Jen Peedom’s scripted feature debut ‘Tenzig’, written by Luke Davies.

Mitch Stewart

Creative Director at The D.A’s Office

Mitch Stewart is an Australian award-winning screen composer and music producer who has written music for film, TV, documentary and games. Recent credits include Love on the Spectrum, The Assembly, LEGO Masters and MasterChef.

Noel Cleary

Director, Animation Director, Story Artist and Animator

Noel Cleary is a highly experienced Director, Animation Director, Story Artist and Animator with over 28 years in film and television. He spent a decade at Walt Disney Australia as Supervising Animator on several films, before working at Animal Logic on Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole and the BBC’s Walking with Dinosaurs.

Noel has since directed television and feature animation projects for Flying Bark Productions, including Tashi, Blinky Bill: The Movie, Maya the Bee 2: The Honey Games and Maya the Bee 3: The Golden Orb. He is currently the Series Director for the highly anticipated Shaun Tan’s ‘Tales from Outer Suburbia’ series for the ABC.

Pasha Ostovar

APRA AMCOS Screen and Games Manager

Pash is originally from the UK and has extensive experience in music publishing on both sides of the business. He had member-facing roles for APRA’s UK affiliate society: PRS in Publisher Services representing top-tier independents across both mechanical and performing rights. He went on to specialise in income tracking and royalty analysis for Chrysalis Music Ltd and eventually led the UK income tracking team at BMG Rights Management (UK) in London, for BMG’s extensive UK catalogue, on a worldwide basis.

Prior to joining APRA AMCOS, he managed operations at the City Of Sydney Creative Studios, a multi-level arts & music facility for Brand X.

Rob Glass

Rob specialises in music and entertainment law and for more than a decade has guided the careers of some of Australasia’s leading talent, taking them from home grown heroes to international success stories. Personally representing household names on both sides of the Tasman, from Masked Wolf, Dom Dolla, Client Liaison and Golden Features; to Shapeshifter, Hollie Smith, Dallas Tamaira (Fat Freddy’s Drop) and The Black Seeds; Rob procures and negotiates the deals that form the backbone of the music business. Registered to practise law in both New Zealand and Australia, Rob represents record labels, festivals, agents and executives, and his IP practice includes working with tech, software, design and start ups and more recently international clients on the convergence of music, art and cryptocurrency.
